Lambourn is 1.5 miles away and has a good range of day to day shops, churches and restaurants. Hungerford, about 5.5 miles away, is an attractive small market town with good shopping facilities, including 2 supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, etc and a train station. Trains to London Paddington take about an hour and are fairly regular (plenty of people commute). Wantage and Newbury are not far away either, both housing more substantial shopping facilities. Newbury also has a racecourse and theatre. The A34 is one junction away providing excellent access to the Midlands and South Coast. London by Road takes about 70 minutes, the M4 (junction 14) being about 3 miles away.

Eastbury is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and there are many footpaths, cycle ways and bridlepaths close by.
